What Atlas collects
Atlas collects student answers, session timestamps, and mastery scores. No browsing history, no device fingerprinting, no advertising identifiers.
Where it is stored
Data is stored in EU-based infrastructure by default. US-based hosting is available on request for institutions that require it.
How long it is retained
Session data is retained for the duration of the course. Institutions can request full data deletion at any time via their DPA.

Is Atlas FERPA compliant?
Atlas is designed for FERPA-compatible deployments. Student-identifiable data is not retained beyond the active course. No student PII is shared with third-party advertisers. For institutions with specific FERPA requirements, we provide a signed Data Processing Agreement.
